How do I secure my place?

Can I bring someone with me?

We would be delighted to consider additional guests. Please complete the Refer a colleague form.

Can I send someone in my place?

If you are unable to attend, we would welcome someone you suggest in your place. Please complete the Refer a colleague form.

Is there a cost to attend?

No, there is no cost to attend. Places are by invitation only.

Is it a 2-day event?

Yes, and we’d love you to join us for both days. There is an evening event on 4 December and a day event on 5 December.

Is there an Innovation Day UK app?

Yes, we have created an Innovation Day UK 2019 app. It’s your place to plan your event experience… learn about the technology demos, work out where to go next and when to network with speakers and guests. Once you’ve registered just go to the App Store or Google Play and search ‘IDUK19’.

What should I wear?

Please wear what you are happy in. The evening event will be a relaxed and informal business occasion. The day event will be busy and lively, so we’d recommend a smart but comfortable dress code.

Will food be provided for the day?

Breakfast and lunch will be served. Beverages will be available throughout the day, along with snacks during the morning and afternoon breaks.

Will I have an opportunity to talk to the speakers?

Yes! Our speakers look forward to sharing additional insight and ideas with all of our guests. You’ll be able to network with them at the event.

Where do I park for the evening event?

Limited parking charged at approximately £30 per night is available at University Arms on a first-come-first-served basis. Alternative public car parks are nearby. Visit our evening event page for more hotel details.

Where do I park for the day event?

We have plenty of parking at our Cambridge office, the venue for Innovation Day UK on 5 December. Please remember to request parking when you complete the registration form.

Hotels & transport

Where should I stay?

Both the evening and day events are in Cambridge. Please see venues below.

The evening event is taking place at University Arms. Hotel demand is expected to be high at the time. University Arms has kindly reserved a limited number of rooms for Innovation Day guests at a special group rate. Book online now or call +44 (0) 1223 606042 and quote ‘Cambridge Consultants’.

If you make alternative arrangements, it is best to search for hotels around Parker’s Piece, Cambridge (close to the evening event), or Science Park, Cambridge (close to the day event).

Getting around

There are plenty of taxis in Cambridge to get you to and from the Innovation Day UK events.

By air

The most convenient airport is London Stansted International Airport. Direct connections are available by train to Cambridge (central) and Cambridge North (Science Park) stations. If you are arriving at Heathrow Airport, take a Piccadilly Line Underground train to King’s Cross station and change for an over-ground train to Cambridge.

By train

Cambridge (central) station is most convenient for the evening event, while Cambridge North station is most convenient for the day event, as it serves the nearby Science Park (c. 5 minutes taxi ride / 20 minutes walk).

By car

Nearby street and garage parking is available for the evening event and free parking is available on-site for the day event.
